San Marino, California
San Marino is a city of about 13,000 people, located in the West San Gabriel Valley, north of San Gabriel, south of Pasadena, and east of South Pasadena. It has its own police and fire departments, and its own library. The San Marino Unified School District was the top performing school district in California for the third year in a row.
San Marino is home to The Huntington Library, Art Collection, and Botanical Gardens, a fabulous collection of literature and art from America and Europe, as well as over 120 acres of beautiful gardens, including a Children's Garden for kids aged 2-7.
The Crowell Public Library was built in 2008, and is styled to blend in perfectly with the Spanish architecture of the city.
Lacy Park is a 30-acre city park, with lovely picnic areas and walking trails, open green areas, a rose arbor, and six championship tennis courts. The Fourth of July Fireworks Show is one of the best in the San Gabriel Valley.
